Julie, Karen, Christine, Paige and Lana are our Allied Health Assistants who play a vital role in making Primary Health services tick.

AHAs work with Alexandra District Health’s team of Allied Health Professionals and mostly assist with goal-based physical therapy. The team facilitates group exercise sessions, individual one on one treatment (as directed by the treating physiotherapists) or working with people to achieve their rehabilitation outcomes.

In addition, AHAs make home visits to aid with home-based therapy goals and also work alongside physiotherapists in the acute ward to help inpatients with their mobility.

Appointments with AHAs are organised in conjunction with the treating ADH physiotherapist, and are unavailable for direct referral.
